LeoStella Unveils LS-300: The Next Generation Small Satellite Bus

LeoStella, a leading satellite design and manufacturing company based in the United States, has announced the launch of its highly anticipated LS-300 small satellite bus product line. This third-generation platform introduces a range of advanced capabilities and payload accommodation options, catering to the evolving needs of both government and commercial satellite customers.

With an impressive track record that includes 19 satellites currently in orbit, LeoStella’s established product lines have garnered a reputation for high performance and exceptional reliability. These satellites boast an impressive 99% mission availability and over 37 years of on-orbit heritage.

“The LS-300 satellite bus is perfectly positioned to meet the diverse requirements of customers seeking access to space”

stated Pierre-Damien Vaujour, CEO of Loft Orbital.

“Having experienced great success with LeoStella’s existing bus platforms, I am confident that the updated LS-300 will further enhance the company’s already established reputation.”

The LS-300 bus platform is designed to deliver exceptional performance and enable customers to achieve their varied mission goals. One notable feature is its ability to accommodate heavier and larger payloads, weighing up to 250 kilograms. The platform also incorporates a space-qualified propulsion system capable of achieving a velocity change of over 200 meters per second. This propulsion capability enhances the satellite’s reaction control, precision pointing, and orbital maneuvering, ensuring optimal performance in space. Additionally, the LS-300 platform provides up to one kilowatt of power, enabling spacecraft to undertake more demanding missions.
