Navidium, a software company in the maritime industry, has selected Spire Global to provide automatic identification system (AIS) vessel-tracking data. The data will be integrated into Navidium’s Voyage Optimization and Environmental Compliance products to help users track vessel position along a route, reoptimize routes based on various conditions and automatically record environmental compliance data. Navidium is also using Spire’s historical and real-time AIS data to train machine learning algorithms that provide users with insights to augment decision making and optimize their vessels for safety, emissions and performance. The product supports crew onboard a vessel, along with fleet managers on shore who need to be aware of their fleet’s current position and progress through a planned journey. Navidium is part of over 1,000 SME and start-up companies in the maritime space.
