KBR Joins Forces with McCallie Associates for NASA Contract

In an exciting development, KBR (NYSE: KBR) has announced its partnership with McCallie Associates, Inc., a certified small business, for a major contract at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and Wallops Flight Facility. The contract, known as Systems Engineering Advanced Services II (SEAS II), has a five-year duration and a total value of $300 million.

Under the SEAS II contract, KBR and McCallie Associates will provide mission and instrument systems engineering services to support NASA’s Mission Engineering and Systems Analysis Division and other related organizations within the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate. This collaboration will also involve the provision of guidance, navigation, and control systems, including altitude control systems analysis and algorithm/software development.

By integrating and enhancing the development processes across various segments of a mission, this critical task aims to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. KBR’s President of Government Solutions U.S., Byron Bright, expressed excitement about the opportunity to support McCallie and NASA in this important venture. He highlighted KBR’s reputation for delivering mission-oriented engineering solutions to government agencies and commercial enterprises worldwide.

KBR’s commitment to working with small businesses is evident in its recent recognition by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The company was honored with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Award, a prestigious accolade that acknowledges large prime contractors’ exceptional utilization of small businesses as suppliers and subcontractors.

Furthermore, KBR brings extensive experience to the table, having supported GSFC for several decades. The company’s expertise spans all phases of mission engineering and space flight instrument development, encompassing design, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
