Gogo LEO Broadband Service Surges Forward

Gogo Business Aviation’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) broadband service has made significant progress, thanks to the efforts of Gogo and its strategic partners, OneWeb and Hughes Network Systems. OneWeb has completed the launch of its LEO constellation, which comprises more than 588 satellites in orbit, and is expected to be operational and aero-ready in Q1 2024. Gogo’s global broadband service will come online in H2 2024. Meanwhile, Gogo and Hughes have completed the preliminary design review of Gogo’s exclusive electronically steerable antenna assembly, bringing the company closer to delivering an order-of-magnitude improvement in inflight connectivity performance. Customers can pre-provision their aircraft by installing an AVANCE system, and once Gogo global broadband launches, they will only need to add the antenna.
