NASA is set to hold a public meeting on May 31 to discuss the categorisation and evaluation of data on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The event will be followed by a media teleconference. NASA defines UAP as unidentifiable events in the sky from a scientific perspective, excluding known aircraft and natural phenomena. The meeting will focus on facilitating final deliberations before the independent study team publishes its report this summer. The report aims to outline methods for evaluating and studying UAP using data, technology and scientific tools. NASA has included an opportunity for public comment in the meeting, and will stream audio live on its website.
