Astra Space and Apex Technology have signed a contract for Astra to provide five Spacecraft Propulsion Kits for Apex’s satellite bus platform. The kits disaggregate the four subsystems of the Astra Spacecraft Engine module, enabling satellite builders to access key components of their propulsion system with shorter lead times that can be customised for their unique missions. Apex’s satellite buses are configured by customers to meet specific mission needs, with the Astra Spacecraft Engine supporting its electric propulsion package. Apex customers can receive their spacecraft in a matter of months thanks to Apex’s design-for-manufacturing approach, interoperable software and product-first mentality.
