National Geographic Documentary Films, in partnership with Fuzzy Door and executive producers Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins, are producing a new documentary feature on the life and career of Carl Sagan. The film will be directed by Academy Award nominee Nanette Burstein and will include exclusive audio recordings, archival clips, animation, and interviews with Sagan’s family, friends, and colleagues. The documentary will explore Sagan’s love story with partner Ann Druyan and his contributions to astronomy and cosmology. The film currently has no release date scheduled but will be available exclusively on National Geographic channels and Disney+.
