ASI: ExoMars program suspended by ESA

ESA has made a decision regarding the impact of the war in Ukraine on its programs during a Council meeting held in Paris on March 16 and 17. The following measures were taken: suspension of the ExoMars rover mission, which was originally scheduled for launch in the fall of 2022; putting all missions scheduled for launch by Soyuz from the European spaceport of Korou on hold; and continuing the International Space Station Programme. Specific proposals will be presented for approval to an extraordinary ESA Council that will be convened in the coming weeks.
