Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth (AROSE) was established to unify Australia’s unique abilities in the space sector and global terrestrial remote operations, reinforcing Australia’s place as the trusted supplier of remote operations and asset management. AROSE is driving high-impact project execution, technology transition, knowledge exchange, workforce development and the promotion of our national capabilities.
In welcoming Fleet Space to AROSE, Chair David Flanagan AM said: “Fleet Space brings expertise in remote connectivity systems, and their cutting-edge communications and space technologies to the AROSE consortium.”
“Like AROSE, Fleet Space recognises how space-to-ground and ground-to-space technology can not only transform industry, but improve quality of life for people and support their day to day activities. AROSE looks forward to a highly productive partnership that expands on these capabilities for Earth and Space.”
Fleet Space CEO, Flavia Tata Nardini acknowledged the benefits of joining AROSE, saying: “Remote operations and global communications are natural allies. Together, we have the ability to drive Australia’s greatest strengths to new heights on the Earth, the Moon and Mars.”
SEVEN SISTERS is the Australian Lunar Exploration Mission to send nanosatellites and exploration sensors to the Moon to search for abundant, accessible water and resources in 2023, supporting NASA’s Artemis Program. The mission is focused on super-scalable, non-invasive resource exploration techniques for Earth, the Moon and Mars that will help NASA identify viable deposits of water and other resources that will underpin further exploration throughout our solar system. A key goal of the SEVEN SISTERS Mission is to secure Australia’s place as a specialist leader in space exploration by 2030, a vision emphatically shared by AROSE.
